Project Umang

Aim of Umang is to protect and rescue vulnerable children and create awareness about protection from child sexual abuse. We have collaborated with Child Line India Foundation since 2012 in the western suburbs of Mumbai. We are working on pilot project that include children in slums with the age group of 9 to 15 years who are substance addicted, rag pickers and school dropouts.

Till date we have reached 6800 children who need care and protection. We rehabilitated 4941 children. We have lodged 142 FIR on Child labour, missing and physical abuse.

We have filled 84 FIR on Child Sexual Abuse cases. 10 accused got convicted and were punishment for this crime.

Till date we located 550 missing children and 95% children we handed over to their parents. During Covid we stopped 6 Child marriages.
